Designed for Convenience – Better-Bottle carboys are unbreakable, extremely light weight (about 1.5 lbs), and designed with textured grip ribs, so they are safe to use, easy to handle, and inexpensive to ship. They are also easy to store away when they are not in use. Their injection molded necks are wide, so filling is convenient; uniform, so a variety of closures fit consistently; and extra strong, so handles can be attached.

These carboys are unlike plastic water type bottle containers. Water bottles are made for water not wine. They usually breathe (allow oxygen to affect the wine), stain, and the alcohol in the wine can actually absorb the plastics in the water bottle. Better Bottles are made especially for wine making and will not breathe, stain or absorb plastic flavors.
